“Aside from the law enforcement agencies officially requested by the DOE to assist in the implementation of the law that includes the inspection of LPG facilities and LPG transport vehicles, as provided under Section 13 of the Act, the DOE does not deputize other individuals or entities to exercise its powers and functions,” the DOE said.

The agency made the advisory to LPG industry participants.

The DOE likewise said that inspectors from the Oil Industry Management Bureau (OIMB) and the Energy Industry Management Division (EIMD) always have official identification cards and documents explaining their purpose.
